After 25 years, it seems that Sen. John Kerry has gotten the hang of the old Senate thing according to today's Globe. The article says that with Sen. Ted Kennedy out of commission, Kerry has stepped up his profile with Massachusetts' communities and taking the lead on national issues. It's an interesting read, see it here.
One quick aside, however, on how aloof and distant Kerry is from Massachusetts politics. In 1996 when Gov. Bill Weld was challenging Kerry for his Senate seat, State Rep. Bill Reinstein walked up to Kerry and introduced himself as "Butchy Cataldo." Kerry slapped him on the back and said, "It's good to see you again Butchy."
