So typical

So yesterday Scott Brown released an ad showing a 1962 speech from John F. Kennedy calling for a tax cut which then morphed into Brown saying some lines from the speech (see previous blog post). The point was quiet clear - even Massachusetts icon JFK believed in tax cuts and Brown was pointing out how him and JFK share similar views.

The Democrats, of course, turned it into Brown trying to "compare" himself to JFK. One of Ted Kennedy's former aides told the Globe, "Does Scott Brown really want voters to compare him to JFK?’’ asked Scott Ferson, a former aide to Edward M. Kennedy. “Really?’’ You're a moron Mr. Ferson. He's not comparing himself to JFK - he's showing how him and JFK share similar views and highlighting those similarities. You're a freakin' idiot.

The Democrats are going after the ad because it highlights how far their party has gone to the left since JFK. Kennedy would be considered a fanatic by today's party and never be elected to national office. Like Ronald Reagan once said, "I did not leave the Democratic party, the Democratic party left me."

And I love how the Democrats say no one can use images of JFK because it implies that the Kennedy family is endorsing Brown. Do you really think people are that stupid? Nope, you just are.
