This was my first week as the assistant coach for my school's softball team. I actually missed Wednesday's practice as before being asked to coach, I committed to attending a 5 week seminar at Southern New Hampshire University on foreign policy. The seminars are actually for high school students but I am sort of their advisor along with another teacher. We have about 10 students who attend and blow me away by their level of insight and knowledge.
The softball team practices every day after school until 5pm and our games start in two weeks. The games are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 4pm and are mostly in southern New Hampshire. The furthest we travel is Keene. Although I don't do a ton at the practices, it is still tiring to finish up at 5pm and then do some more school work and then come home to do other things. I haven't been able to go to the gym in over a week and I was doing so good. I am going to get back on track tomorrow before I take Kevin to gymnastics and a train show.
In addition, this was the last day of third quarter so I was correcting tests and papers all day. I also have to correct some projects this weekend and then do all the head of quarter stuff on Monday as grades are due by 8am on Tuesday.
Life stays interesting!
